Bartolomeu Dias #4996-A
This elegant precision instrument is named after one of the most daring sailors in world history. At the end of the Middle Ages, Dias was the first to sail around the Cape of Good Hope at the southern tip of Africa to find a sea route to India - yes, finding that sea route was a quite popular pastime back then. The whole journey was kept completely secret by the king of Portugal, which is why hardly any records exist. A mysterious, pitch-black timepiece for the James Bond of the early modern age.

The «Bartolomeu Dias» men's watch from the EXPLORERS-collection is made of solid 316L stainless steel and convinces with its spartan, industrial design, its robust case and black dial. The timekeeper’s inner values are provided by a first-class Japanese Miyota movement (quartz). The watch has a concave sapphire crystal (1800 HV), wooden inserts in its crown, Swiss Super-LumiNova-hands, a date display and a Quick-Change leather strap. It’ss water resistant (5 ATM), shock resistant and limited to 200 pieces per model.
